While driving on your way to Volcano National Park between the 22 mile and 23 mile marker. You'll notice on your left hand side a parking lot with a building named "Akatsuka Orchid Gardens." They are open 7 days a week from 10:00am to 4:30pm.
Inside you'll lose yourself in there 13,000 sq. ft. showroom of beautiful orchids.
Poha berry ice cream - can only be found here at the Orchid Garden. They grow the Poha Berry on site and make the ice cream. The berry has a slight tart taste, but mixed with the creamy ice cream it was a yummy treat!
